Who doesnt love statement pieces with history? We have a barn on our property that is falling down. Short story is that we had an old house on that property that we tore down and built a new house. The property was originally my husband’s grandparents. So it was important to us to combine some of the old with the new. We tore out one interior wall in the barn and saved beams from a lean to that was knocked down.

The first thing we built was a bar for our basement.

The leftover wall pieces was made into a shelf.
The beams were used for the bar stool seats.

Beams can also be used for your living room furniture.
And finally you can use a barn door and remake into a flower pot stand.
Here are some pictures of the barn and potential future projects. Read again when inspiration hits!!!
UPDATE as of Nov 2020
I participated in a make your own footed tray challenge. I used the wood from this barn. Please read the article here on how to build a rustic tray.
